Christian Tobler’s new book, Fighting in Armour, is a compendium of techniques using all the common used knightly arms from dagger to spear and across a wide selection of German historical sources.

At the Tobler-one: Day of Armour, the author will present a selection of longsword and poleaxe techniques from his book across a four-hour seminar. The event is intended for experienced practitioners of harnischfechten and beginners alike—because you don’t need armor to practice fighting in armor.

So, if you don’t have armor, that’s fine, put on your modern HEMA kit and get involved. If you have armor, all are welcome – HMB/Buhurt, SCA, HEMA, and everyone!
